School Drill Types
 Our district uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to ensure a clear, consistent approach to safety. In the event of an emergency, actions and directions will be announced over the PA system.

District Safety Initiative 
Our District Safety Initiative promotes a safe, supportive environment through prevention, preparedness, and partnerships that protect and empower every student.

Bullying / Harrassment

Sweetwater County School District #1 takes bullying, harassment and violence very seriously.  If you have been bullied, harassed or a victim of violence, please report it so that we can help put an end to these activities.

There are multiple ways to report Bullying, Harassment or Violence
#1 - File an Anonymous Report - Anonymous Reporting Form
#2 - Send us an EMAIL
#3 - Talk with your School Principal or Counselor
#4 - Call the Sweetwater #1 Tip Line @ 307.212.6273.  Leave us a message detailing your concern/issue.

If you feel that you are in immediate danger, please call local law enforcement.

Suicide Training

Sweetwater County School District #1 requires all employees to participate in annual, in-person suicide prevention training. This training equips staff with the knowledge and skills to:
* Recognize warning signs of suicide risk among students and colleagues
* Respond appropriately and compassionately when concerns arise.
* Understand district procedures for reporting and supporting individuals in crisis.
*Promote a safe and supportive school environment focused on student well-being.By completing this yearly training, employees help ensure that every student has access to caring adults who are prepared to intervene, connect them with resources, and foster a culture of prevention and support across the district.

District Safety Team

Purpose: The District Safety Team will promote and maintain safety efforts within Sweetwater #1.
Meetings: The District Safety Team will meet quarterly.
Topics:

  • Identify safety concerns
  • Discuss trainings ideas/needs
  • Plan and debrief from drills
  • Celebrate successes.
