What is Title 1?
Title I, Part A (Title IA) is a federal program that gives extra funding to schools to help all children succeed, especially those who need the most support. If a school has a lot of families with low income, it can receive Title I funds to help improve student learning. This money is used to provide things like extra teachers, tutoring, learning materials, and special programs in reading and math. The goal is to make sure every child has the same chance to do well in school. Title I also encourages schools to work closely with parents and families, because your involvement plays an important role in your child’s education.
