The name we selected represents a well-known landmark in this area.  It is unique in that no other school in the state has this name.  Three students in our district, Averi Christensen, Braden Doak, and Shane Ramsey, nominated the school name.  

 

 

Just as the pioneers, Native Americans, and mountain men looked for this pilot point on the Overland and Morman Trails to guide their way, so will our children see Pilot Butte Elementary as a guide on their journey of education.
